CNA Stores recently had the privilege of engaging with the esteemed Greater Lawrence Italian Women's Club (GLIWC), a remarkable organization that CNA wholeheartedly supports. Every May, GLIWC awards scholarships to graduating seniors in the Merrimack Valley, a cause close to our hearts.
At CNA Stores, we frequently conduct educational sessions with local Senior Groups and other community-focused organizations. These discussions often revolve around cannabis choices, product safety, and community impact. Scott Winters, a familiar face at CNA Stores, has been leading these conversations for years, even before the cannabis industry became legal.
Scott's journey began in 2015 when he addressed the community in Amesbury about the forthcoming cannabis laws, both medical and adult use. His involvement continued as he was appointed to the state’s inaugural committee in 2017 to discuss cannabis in Amesbury, MA. Through these experiences, Scott learned the importance of open dialogue with the community, conducted with respect and patience.
Over the years, Scott has observed a significant evolution in the community's perception of cannabis. What once sparked "Reefer Madness" style inquiries has transformed into discussions centered around treatment options and dosing inquiries. Scott reflects on this transformation with admiration, noting the comfort and honesty with which neighbors now discuss cannabis.
Scott expresses his gratitude to the GLIWC for providing a welcoming platform to share CNA Stores' work. He applauds their warmth and respect, making the evening an unforgettable honor.
